Vit TV review: a promising device?

Famous Sony developer Wololo has put up a great review of the Vit TV on his blog. Unfortunately it seems the device is not so well performing, especially from the video and streaming point of view (no Netflix or Youtube support, for example). The Vita TV was released last year by Sony, and is currently exclusive to Japan.

It is expected that Sony could announce a release of the Vita TV in Europe and the United States sometimes this year. Hopefully by then, the device will include support for things such as Netflix, Hulu, amazon Instant video, etc…

The interest for the Vit TV outside of Japan has took Sony by Surprise last year, as it appeared to be only released as an “excuse” for not releasing the PS4 in Japan in 2013. Blogger Wololo had initially categorized the Vit TV as sony’s best idea in years , but sales of the vita TV have been disappointing so far in Japan, with just a bit more than 50’000 units sold in its first month, less than 20’000 on the second.
